PADS Sponsor Dog

The Campbell River Dog Fanciers Society is proud supporters of PADS (Pacific Assistance Dogs Society) since 2005.  Over the years we have sponsored a number of dogs, which some have received their training in Campbell River and others are assistance dogs.  Here are their stories.

Meet Silas, black Labrador retriever

Meet Tango
, black Labrador retriever

Meet Chip, golden retriever

Meet Banjo
, yellow Labrador retriever

Pacific Assistance Dogs (PADS) raises and trains assistance dogs for people who are facing the daily challenges of life with a physical disability or who are Deaf or hard of hearing. These highly skilled dogs allow their clients to experience a greater level of independence and an enhanced quality of life.

PADS is a charitable, non-profit organization located in Burnaby, B.C., with an office in Calgary. PADS services people in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. PADS relies entirely on fundraising, grants and donations to finance the care and training of these amazing dogs.

CRDFS encourages anyone who’d like to help enrich the life of someone living with a physical challenge or who are deaf or hard of hearing to consider a donation to PADS.  Visit their webpage and see how you can help make a difference.
